“We’ve just come back from an 11 night stay in Lilly barn and can’t recommend it enough. It was clean, had everything you would need, in a lovely area with plenty of things to do just a short drive away. We had 3 children with us and they loved going to feed the ducks in the nearby duck pond. Already sorting out for booking next year we loved it that much. Jo and Dawn both checked in to see if there was anything we needed which was lovely.”

We have just returned from a fabulous Easter break at Lily Barn. We were a group of 3 couples and the accomodation layout suited us perfectly. Three double bedrooms (one with ensuite) plus a downstairs cloakroom meant there was no queuing for showers, the beds were really comfortable and the bedding good quality. The kitchen area was perfect for each couple to rustle up a meal each night of our stay. We found everything we needed to cook and thankfully the fridge and freezer had plenty of room for ingredients, helped along with a wine fridge (which meant there was more room for food in the fridge itself). The living room was comfortable with plenty of seating, and the addition of a selection games, along with a smart tv meant we had comfortable and cosy nights in, and as the weather was nice, we sat out and enjoyed the patio area too. There isn't much on the doorstep without a drive or a walk (so take food/drinks with you). We walked twice from the doorstep: we walked upto and along the ridge to Cracoe Obelisk and Rylestone Cross and really enjoyed the walk over to Grassington via Linton Falls and back to the local pub for Sunday lunch too. We drove over to Grimsworth Reservoir and walked the perimeter and also visited Stump Cross Caverns. It's worth noting that it would be really easy to catch the bus that runs between Skipton and Grassmere as it passes the barn. You can hear the road a little from the accomodation, but it didn't keep us awake and wouldn't stop us booking again. The extra touches, such as enough loo roll, washing tablets and dishwasher tablets were welcomed as was the contents of the welcome basket! Thank you Jo and Tony for letting us stay - we will be returning!

This is my second time staying at Brooke Barn and yet again it did not disappoint! A great location with local pubs within a short walking distance. Ideal for exploring the local area. We were here to do the 3 Peaks and with the start only a 40 min drive away it made a superb location to come back to have and a bbq and to rest and relax in the courtyard which is a perfect little sun trap. Brooke Barn is luxurious, homely and has everything you need for a perfect stay. I would not hesitate to stay here again if we are ever in the area again

After staying at Lily Barn a couple of times now, we couldn't wish for a lovelier place to stay when visiting the dales. Staying with a young family and dog, the house is beautifully set up to feel like a family home but at the same time, as a stunningly converted barn. Placed in a brilliant location, there are walks on your doorstep or a short drive away. The house itself has comfortable beds, large open sitting room, and our families favourite place to be, big open kitchen with well stocked amenities. Jo and Dawn are always on hand to answer any problems or questions throughout the stay and have always been so friendly and helpful with any of our queries. After a long day outside exploring, we love returning home to collapse and enjoy the house.

On entering the barn I was surprised at how big the kitchen and living area was. The photos really dont do the barn justice. All of the equipment and furnishings are of high quality. As previous reviews have mentioned the barn is right next to a B road and therefore you can hear noise from it and this is reflected in the rental cost. However, on the plus side it does mean that getting to nearby skipton is very easy. All in all we would return to Lily Barn.

We had a lovely holiday week at Lily Barn. It was very modern, clean, comfortable and it had everything we could want. A great location with lots of things to do nearby. Highly recommended.

Lovely house with great facilities and really well equipped. Wonderful area to walk and visit Malham and York. Very friendly owners with great communication.

We had a very enjoyable and comfortable stay in Lily Barn. The accommodation was excellent, of a high standard, and was very well equipped and supplied. It is close to a road which is busy at times, but we were not disturbed by noise. There are many places to visit using Lily Barn as a base.

What an absolutely beautiful cottage, we didn't want to leave!! Road noise took bit of getting used to but wouldn't stop me from returning, I honestly can't believe how stunning it was, the cottage is equipped with everything you need for an amazing getaway. The spacious living area means everyone has space to sit with or without each other, the games room was a hit!! With teenagers in our group they loved it
